In April 2012, I won the Catwalk for water Scholarship competition at which time I decided to give up my five year career in the field of elementary education. I feel proud to say that I have absolutely no regrets. As an individual with creative passion and a love for beauty and fashion, I have been blessed with the opportunity to use my creative energy through my experiences at Aveda. I wake up on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday morning excited to perfect my craft at an institute that has a mission aligned with my own beliefs.
I initially chose the career of teaching, because I care about other people and I wanted to change lives. I’m sure that I’ll still be able to fulfill that desire through the Aveda network of beauty and professionalism. My life is changing daily from the friends and educators that I’ve met (Kay Graham) with unbelievable knowledge to the products that have made a personal difference. Aveda skin care ( Botanical Kinetics and Outer Peace) has enabled me to have clear skin and healthier growing hair (Invati) with out the harsh prescription medications that I was using.
I’m excited to see what’s coming next!
