The makeup trends for 2013 appear to be a more natural, organic look for both hair and makeup using bright reds for lips either glossed or matted and rich blues and violet shades for eye shadows and eyeliners. When applying the makeup, either the eyes are played up and the cheek and lips are muted or the lips are given a punch of red with the eyes toned down.

The hair style is a chic, natural look with hair not completely dried using the fingers instead of a brush to create a slightly grunge look and parts worn either severely to the side or middle parted. The look can be created with Phomollient, Style Prep and hair finished with Control Force. Low wearing ponytails are also a top trend with some strands of hair wrapped around the ponytail holder.
