The makeup trends for 2013 appear to be a more natural, organic look for both hair and makeup using bright reds for lips either glossed or matted and rich blues and violet shades for eye shadows and eyeliners. When applying the makeup, either the eyes are played up and the cheek and lips are muted or the lips are given a punch of red with the eyes toned down.
The Aveda spring makeup palette would help to achieve this look. A more relaxed look with either up done eyes or lips gives a look that gives a natural look without being/looking overdone. I feel that this look will be widely embraced as it gives the woman a natural/organic relaxed look played up with some bright colors. It is an effortless look that is appealing to most women suited for a variety of different lifestyles. I feel that women can have it both ways-they can go for that natural look w/o compromising color.
The hair style is a chic, natural look with hair not completely dried using the fingers instead of a brush to create a slightly grunge look and parts worn either severely to the side or middle parted. The look can be created with Phomollient, Style Prep and hair finished with Control Force. Low wearing ponytails are also a top trend with some strands of hair wrapped around the ponytail holder.
You can create this look with the Smooth Infusion line. For a more dramatic effect for hair, the look of the 70’s Studio 54 Va Va Voom look is glam. Aveda’s volumizing product line is best used to achieve this look.
