Vincent Saladino – A-Side

“As I was announced Student of the Month, I couldn’t help but reflect on the short amount of time I’ve been at Aveda and what a significant impact it has made on my life. I chose Aveda simply because of the energy and vibe radiating from every crevice, one of passion and community. Things click at Aveda. The instructors really care about the education their students are receiving and work endlessly to ensure that each individual is set up for success in their stylistic career, whatever path they may choose.

Before Aveda, I was attempting a “normal career” at a 4-year university constantly questioning if what I was doing would make me not only successful, but happy with my life as well. I didn’t know, then, that what I was destined to do would allow me to express my creativity, interact with and meet incredible clients and professionals, and bond with a family like no other. What’s great about this family is they’re everywhere, and as an aspiring hairstylist and male model I know Aveda can take me to the level I need to be at to get where I want to go- Fashion Week; New York, Milan, Paris, Tokyo. All of the art shown on those runways is something inspiring I just have to be a part of.

I’m so excited to continue my journey through Aveda, I look forward to my future in the beauty industry and will have Aveda Institute Tampa Bay to thank along with the outstanding and supportive educators like Emilee and Mike (just to name a few) who truly care about the well being of their students and see the proper education of their classes through and through. Thank you to everyone who has supported me, and thank you to all of the amazing people I’ve met at Aveda who have inspired me, to say the very least.”

Areniz Morales – B-Side

“Hi, my name is Areniz. I started attending the Aveda Institute of Tampa Bay in 2015 and it was the best decision I’ve ever made! It’s been quite a journey but it’s been a wonderful one.

Ever since I was younger, I have been very interested in the artistic side of everything. From drawing imaginary dragons to beautiful trees to creating cartoon characters out of clay. When I realized that you could create art on people I thought it was so amazing because not only are you creating something beautiful, but you are also making someone feel great about themselves. Now I’m a couple of weeks from graduating and as I think back to my time being here, all I can say is that I’m proud of all my accomplishments and thankful to all the staff here at the Aveda Institute of Tampa Bay for not only teaching me how to create works of art on people, but for always being here for me. I am honored to be  chose as the student of the month.”
