Congratulations to Megan Hayes for being this month’s standout student at Aveda Institute Tallahassee!
Megan focuses her time on her son, work, and school. She began a career as a C.N.A. but made the decision to pursue her true love of hair. She initially did not know what Aveda was, but after some research, she was sold on the Institute’s organization and legitimacy; as they were different from those in her hometown. Her family has roots in the hair industry; her dad has a barber shop and her aunt has a history of involvement as well.
Her professional goal is to be a Jack-of-All-Trades. She wants to perfect her skills with hair and eye lash extensions, work on all hair types and ethnicities, color, and microblading. Her ultimate dream is to establish her own extension line. When she is older and done exploring what she calls, “going on a learning journey,” she has a dream to open her own shop.
She attributes her success in school to being a more positive student now, as she has developed through the experience of her education and is focusing on the experience. In turn, she feels she has become better at explaining products to guests, to which she does not feel like a salesman but rather an informed expert that is providing her client with the best products that will benefit them.
Her favorite products are the Brilliant Universal Style Cream and Nourishing Style Cream as both products, provide a lot of moisture to her hair without it weighing it down, when used properly.
